Zenith – The Newsletter

The Institute publishes a bi-annual newsletter in which the achievements of the students & faculty and activities organized are highlighted. The distinguishing feature of IILM’s newsletter is that it is completely managed by the students from planning, to editing, designing, printing and circulation stages. This gives an immense learning opportunity to the budding managers.

Mentorship
To foster the academic, personal and professional growth and development of the students, the institute has a well developed and structured Mentorship Programme wherein intensive one-to-one interaction between the faculty mentor and student mentee results in strengths-weaknesses identification and formulation of customized plans for overall development of the student.

Illuminati
The institute promotes the holistic personality development of the students under the aegis of “Illuminati”, the personality growth initiative of IILM AHL, Lucknow, which functions with the motto “Let there be light”. Numerous value added activities such as Management games, Role plays, Business Quiz, Presentation Competitions, Business Simulations, Case Analysis, etc. are organized by Illuminati on a regular basis.

Student Clubs
In addition to Illuminati, there are various student clubs formed with the objective of 360 degree development of the students. These clubs empower students with creative, innovative and talent nurturing activities which contribute towards knowledge creation, sharing, learning and continuous development. The clubs also provide a real-life learning experience for the students as they are solely responsible for the planning, funding, organizing, public relations, scheduling and monitoring of the activities of the club.

The four student clubs currently functioning are:

  •  Academic Club - The Academic Club provides an intellectual learning platform to the students. The Club organises sevaral activities such as Creative Writing, Debates, Student Seminars, Business Quiz, Management Games, Group Discussions, Presentations, etc with the objective of providing students the opportunity to develop better insights into event management skills, group process, enhance interpersonal skills and nurture individual talents.

  •  Industry Interface Club - The objective of the Industry Interface Club is to create and strengthen the Institute-Industry Interface and developing public and corporate relation skills of students. The club organizes several activities such as guest lectures, brainstorming sessions, industry visits, corporate expert talks, arranges sponsorships, helps in organizing collaborative events, assists the Placement Cell and also improves the corporate visibility of the institute.

  •  Cultural Club - The Cultural Club fosters creativity and enhances event organizing skills of the students while providing them an opportunity to display their latent talents. The club organizes several creative activities such as Skit/ Drama, dance shows, singing, rangoli, face painting, Mehndi, collage making, etc.

  •  Sports Club - The Sports Club endeavours to develop the skills of leadership, team building and event management and also a spirit of healthy competition. It also gives an avenue to all students to maintain their overall health and fitness. The Club organizes sports activities on a regular basis, both at intra and inter-institutional levels, covering a wide gamut of indoor and outdoor games like table tennis, chess, cricket, badminton, football, athletics etc.
